Why we give
Generosity is the Jesus way.
The stewardship of our finances is an important area of our lives where we can proclaim the gospel. Giving is an important step in our spiritual growth; it strengthens our commitment to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with what God gives us. When we give, we are taking a step to trust God and His provision instead of relying on our own self-sufficiency.
Giving to the church supports the mission and vision. We are able to making a difference in our community through local outreaches, church planting, and global missions. As followers of Jesus, we give faithfully and generously.
We believe in the biblical principle of tithe and offering. Here at Mission, we follow the idea of giving first, saving second, and living on the rest of our income:
We give first making God a priority reminding us that everything we have ultimately comes from Him. We save second building wealth that allows us to have strength in providing for ourselves, our families, and others in need and then we live on the rest. Giving first and saving second teaches us contentment and provides financial peace instead of stress.
